Expanding access to nature through planning
CLIENT | Roosevelt Campobello International Park
Conkling was tapped to lead the natural areas planning committee, reaching out to Provincial Park authorities, Fundy National Park personnel as well as Acadia National Park for additional expertise.
I have known Philip Conkling since the very beginnings of the Island Institute, which he had a leading role in founding and then running for a good run of years. It has remained throughout its history an exemplary non-profit organization in terms of defining, adhering to and carrying out its mission. Its organizational structure and management have been similarly exemplary in their effectiveness and efficiency. The Island Institute has done extraordinarily well by its mission and its services recipients. Folks and institutions that have helped to fund the Island Institute’s work have had their support dollars well spent.
Philip had a major role to play in the Island Institute’s successes. Having retired from the Island Institute, Philip Conkling has now brought that experience and his very significant talents with the organization, mission service and management of non-profits to the broader field of non-profits through Conkling Associates. I have been involved in various non-profit organizations for the better part of my professional life and I value highly the advice and experience Philip brings to this community through Conkling Associates, including his volunteer work at Roosevelt Campobello International Park.Christopher D.
